Patricia Carson, Executive Director
Patricia Carson joined Friends of the Reedy River in 2016, bringing over a decade of experience in the environmental community to the position of Executive Director. She has been involved in nonprofit advocacy at all levels including administration, policy, legal, and education.
Patricia earned a BS in Political Science from Presbyterian College, a JD from the Charleston School of Law, and a Masters in Public Administration with a focus in Nonprofit Management and Sustainability from Clemson University. She is also a certified mediator and volunteers with the Upstate Mediation Center. Patricia has clerked for the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, Western Environmental Law Center (Oregon), Southern Environmental Law Center, and Charleston Moves/SC Bike Law. She co-founded the Holy City Bike Co-op in Charleston and has worked in project management at two South Carolina environmental laboratories. More recently, Patricia organized Greenville Organic Foods Organization's Annual Urban Farm Tour and worked at Upstate Forever as their Land Protection Specialist.
