John B. Cook, PE, Board Member
John B. Cook, PE has nearly 50 years combined experience in multiple areas of environmental research, operations, and applied physics, and has authored or co-authored over 100 presentations and technical papers and reports.
For the past 13 years, John has served as Engineer and CEO of Advanced Data Mining Intl (ADMi), during which he was worked on sophisticated solutions to practical research in collaboration with the US Geological Survey, public water and wastewater utilities, the Water Research Foundation, inter alia.
Prior to working with ADMi, he served for 21 years as Director of Engineering, COO, and CEO for Charleston Water System (Charleston, SC). Previously, he was District Director for SCDHEC’s Trident District Office of EQC and was involved with all SCDHEC programs relative to environmental monitoring and protection.
John holds a BS in civil engineering and ME in engineering mechanics from the University of South Carolina and an MS in environmental engineering from Colorado State University. He also has significant public service experience, including as President of the Cooper River Water Users Association, serving on the inaugural Board of Directors of Water Mission, as well as local pro bono work associated with protecting sensitive habitats and endangered species from overly-zealous developers.
