DESCRIPTION:<p>Friends of the Reedy River is holding our second <strong>Volunteer Work Day&nbsp\;at Reedy River Meadow&nbsp\;</strong>on&nbsp\;<strong>Wednesday\, May 28&nbsp\;from 8:30 - 11:30 AM</strong>!&nbsp\;</p>

<p>Come join us to remove invasive plant species to make room for native plants! Our goal is to create a native plant meadow along the Reedy River.&nbsp\;We will teach volunteers about the importance of meadows\, native plants\, riparian buffer zones\, and proper identification and removal of invasive plant species - specifically hand-pulling invasive plant species and small saplings.&nbsp\;</p>

<p>We will focus on removing invasive species by hand. We will help volunteers correctly identify desirable versus undesirable vegetation\, making this a&nbsp\;great opportunity for all experience levels!</p>

<p>Please come prepared to get dirty -- long pants &amp\; closed toe shoes are strongly recommended. Please bring a water bottle\, sun protection or rain gear\, gardening gloves if you have them\, and any other supplies you will need to feel comfortable in a group outdoors\, such as a chair or a kneeling pad. All other supplies and tools will be provided.&nbsp\;</p>
