DESCRIPTION:<p>Please join Friends of the Reedy River for our big Spring Reedy River Cleanup on Saturday\, March 16th! Come on out\, get your feet wet &amp\; make an impact on your community &amp\; the Reedy River while cleaning up the Reedy &amp\; its riverbanks!<br />

<p>If you&#39\;re active on Facebook\, we encourage you to please also indicate your attendance. Please invite your family\, friends\, and co-workers to sign up and join you on Saturday\, March 16th!<br />

What to Wear/Bring:<br />
- Long pants/old sneakers you don&#39\;t mind getting dirty or wet<br />
- Bring waders or boots if you have them<br />
- Reusable water bottles\, hats\, bug spray\, and sunscreen are highly recommended<br />
Everything needed for the cleanup- such as trash grabbers\, gloves\, vests\, trash bags\, tools\, etc. will be provided by FoRR!<br />
<br />
This is a rain or shine event but in the event of a downpour\, the reschedule date will be Saturday\, March 23rd<br />
<br />
*Please contact us at odunn@friendsofthereedyriver.org if you are planning on bringing a child under the age of 12. We ask that any child under the age of 12 have a parent present.<br />
Safety is our utmost concern &amp\; this is to help us determine the best location for you &amp\; your participants.<br />
<br />
Schedule of events:<br />
- 8:00 - 8:30 AM --&gt\; Check-in at your chosen location (the 2 options are below)<br />
- 8:30 - 11:30 AM --&gt\; Clean the Reedy!<br />
<br />
*Volunteers who wish to work in and around downtown Greenville should check in at St. Matthew UMC Greenville (701 Cleveland St).<br />
<br />
*Volunteers who wish to work at sites off the Swamp Rabbit Trail/Cedar Lane Rd. should check in at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery (205 Cedar Lane Rd). As parking is limited at the Cafe\, please park in the lower lot of Mount Calvary Baptist Church (115 Cedar Lane Rd).<br />

SUMMARY:Save the date for our BIG Spring river cleanup event! Join us on Saturday\, March 16th for a fun morning of cleaning up our Reedy River with fellow volunteers. Cleaning the Reedy River is extremely important because trash in the river is not only unsightly\, but it also provides a favorable habitat for bacteria to grow in. With less trash in our river\, we can have a healthier river!
