After completing the training\, Adopt-a-Stream volunteers will be able to pick a testing site and borrow FORR&#39\;s macroinvertebrate sampling kit to monitor within the Reedy River Watershed.

Register Here!

This training will provide classroom and in-stream instruction for volunteer monitors on how to: select a monitoring site\, use equipment properly\, collect samples\, test water quality\, enter data\, assess stream conditions\, and practice safety in the field.&nbsp\; You will learn about stream habitat and pollution sources\, and practice collecting and identifying macroinvertebrates.

Individuals must pass an open-book&nbsp\;exam at the end of the workshop&nbsp\;to become a certified volunteer and be able to enter data into the www.scadoptastream.org database. Volunteers are encouraged to adopt a site to sample&nbsp\;twice annually to establish valuable baseline data for your stream.

This is an in-person workshop.&nbsp\; You must attend the full workshop and pass the open-book\, open-note test to become a certified water quality monitoring volunteer. Please bring your own lunch\, dress for the weather and invite a friend!
