This training will provide classroom and hands-on instruction for volunteer monitors on how to: select a monitoring site\, use equipment properly\, collect samples\, test water quality\, enter data\, assess stream conditions\, and practice safety in the field.

This workshop focuses on macroinvertebrate monitoring. You will learn about stream habitat and pollution sources\, and practice collecting and identifying macroinvertebrates. Certified volunteer water quality monitors can then adopt a stream to sample biannually.&nbsp\;

Be prepared to get your feet wet in a shallow stream! Please bring rubber boots\, water\, and a packed lunch.
You must attend the full workshop to become a certified water quality monitor.
