Conestee Nature Preserve Volunteer Litter Sweep

Conestee Nature Preserve Volunteer Litter Sweep

March 12th 2022 ( 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM )

Conestee Nature Preserve is partnering with Friends of the Reedy River for a cleanup on Saturday, March 12 from 9-11:30 am!

Register Here!

Winter is the best time to do litter sweeps at the Preserve for a number of reasons.

  1. There is less vegetation which makes it easier to find the trash and easier to navigate off trail.

  2. No snakes to worry about!

During this volunteer event you will be assigned a section of the Preserve to pick up trash. We provide trash bags, trash grabbers, and gloves. If you have your own work gloves and or grabbers please bring them! Please wear shoes that can get muddy and wet and be prepared for walking off trail. We encourage you to bring your own water and snacks, but we will have a water cooler for you to refill your bottle at if necessary.

Conestee will send an email a day or 2 prior to the clean up to let you know the meetup location and other relevant details.
